Booster ball attached to a tow rope lifting it above the water

If your tube rope drags in the water and throws spray in the boat, a booster ball fixes it for about the price of lunch. It’s a small accessory that makes a surprisingly big difference.

How it works

A booster ball is a foam float that clips onto your tow rope near the tube. It lifts the line up out of the water, cutting drag and spray, and it keeps the rope floating and easy to grab between riders.

When it helps most

Great for bigger towables and lower-powered boats where rope drag is noticeable, and any time you’re tired of hauling a soaked, sunken rope back in. It also helps keep slack rope away from the prop during pickups.

What it won’t do

A booster ball doesn’t replace a properly rated tube tow rope — it works with it. Use it alongside the correct rope for your rider count and keep everyone in an approved watersports life jacket.
