Ski ropes are their own thing — a specific length and low-stretch feel built for the pull of skiing and slalom. Using the right one makes learning easier and slalom course work possible.
Standard length and sections
A tournament water ski rope is 75 feet with removable sections so slalom skiers can shorten the line as they improve. Recreational skiers often start at full length for a wider, more forgiving pull.
Low-stretch, not no-stretch
Ski ropes use a low-stretch poly blend — a little give smooths the pull, but not the dead-stretch of a tube rope. A comfortable, floating handle keeps grip secure through a set.
Match it to the sport
Don’t tube on a ski rope or ski on a tube rope. Keep a dedicated water ski rope for skiing and a rated tube tow rope for towables. Every skier wears an approved watersports life jacket and runs a spotter.
